In addition, all children have vision screening during their first year at school for lazy eye, to detect if they have reduced vision in either or both eyes.

This is important as the children themselves may have no idea that there is a problem. The earlier any problems are detected the easier they are to treat, so if there is a family history of a squint or lazy eye, do make an appointment to have the child’s eyesight checked.

Eye examinations are not painful and are carried out using age-appropriate tests and equipment.

Our eye exams can pick up other health problems too, such as early symptoms of diabetes or evidence of infections.

And remember – eye test for children under sixteen are free! So what are you waiting for?  Book an appointment today on 01452 410494.
