Strabismus is a condition where the eyes do not point in the same direction and is also known as a tropia or squint.

The condition results in one or both of the eyes turn inward, outward, upward or downward. It is treatable in various ways depending on the seriousness of the condition from wearing glasses to aid the straightening of the vision, to corrective surgery which can tighten, relax or reposition eye muscles.

If nothing else, the report once again highlights the risks and dangers of smoking, especially during pregnancy.
