•    Square.  Oval or round frames are considered preferable for square face shapes as they soften the angles of the face.  In contrast, narrow frames featuring more width than depth tend to make the face appear longer.

•    Oval.  To be honest, most frames suit this type of face.  A wide frame will emphasise the oval shape of the face.

•    Oblong.  Usually a wide frame is recommended to break up the long face’s shape.  Frames with more depth than width or those with contrasting sides tend to add width to a face.

•    Triangular.  Rimless frames are often preferred for this shape of face.  Alternatively consider a frame that is widest at the bottom.
