No Show Policy
Unfortunately, due to the persistent failure of a minority of our patients to attend their appointments as arranged we have no choice but to introduce a ‘no show’ policy to the practice.
We very much hope that, in the event that your circumstances change, or you become unwell, that you will contact us at your earliest convenience (like most of our lovely patients do) and thereby make this policy a complete waste of time!
To keep you safe and help to ensure that we have time to carry out our increased sanitation regime, we have increased our appointment times. We always schedule our appointments so that each patient receives the right amount of time to be seen by our Optometrist and staff. That’s why it is very important that you keep your scheduled appointment with us, and also arrive on time.
Please understand that when you forget or cancel your appointment without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time, and patients on our waiting list miss the opportunity to receive vital services.
As a courtesy, and to help patient remember their scheduled appointments, we will send you a confirmation text message and email when you book your appointment. We will also send a reminder 2 days, and 3 hours in advance of your appointment time.
If your schedule changes and you cannot keep your appointment, please contact us as early as possible (at least 48 hours before your appointment) so that we can reschedule you and accommodate those many patients who are waiting for an appointment.
If you do not cancel or reschedule your appointment with at least 48 hours notice, and fail to attend, we may process a £29 (twenty nine pounds) “no-show” service charge to your account. This would need to be paid before any further appointments could be made.
Thank you so much for your continued support and loyalty – and we look forward to welcoming you to the practice.
Kindest Regards
The Team
