The Process:
Appointment 1. Evaluation
Patient must not have worn any contact lenses for at least 48 hours prior to initial appointment. Suitability is assessed and scans taken to accurately map shape of front surface of the eye.
Appointment 2. Fitting
Lenses are fitted, patient shown how to insert, remove, clean and store the lenses. Lenses to be worn that night.
Appointment 3. First Assessment
Morning after first wear patient returns to the practice wearing the lenses – Lenses removed and vision assessed.
Appointment 4. First Follow Up
Patient returns 5-7 days later for an afternoon appointment when lenses will have been removed upon awaking. It is anticipated that a good level of vision has now been achieved and is remaining stable throughout the day.
Appointment 5. Second Assessment
